BASE was born in 2019 from a simple frustration shared by two longtime friends. Back then, finding skincare in Indonesia that was vegan, made with high-quality ingredients, and backed by proven efficacy wasn’t easy.
Too often, people had to choose between products that worked and products that aligned with their values. We believed you shouldn’t have to compromise.
With the dream of making conscious beauty both effective and accessible, we created BASE — combining science with thoughtfully selected plant-based ingredients, many of which are certified by ECOCERT, an internationally recognized standard for responsibly sourced and sustainably produced ingredients.
From the very beginning, we’ve believed that healthy skin has the power to bring out confidence and help people feel like the best version of themselves. But we also know that confidence looks different for everyone. Because no two people are the same, neither are their skin journeys.
